If you love horror as much as we do, then Mad About Horror is the site for you. We believe we are the only website in the UK and Europe to specialise purely in Halloween and Horror.
Within the dark depths of our website you will find all manner of horror merchandise, masks and collectibles from the likes of Trick or Treat Studios, NECA, Mezco, Creepy Company, Terror Threads, Pumpkin Pulp and many more.
And when Halloween is approaching we bring you an array of decorations and props to make your home the scariest on the street, with all sorts of goodies from super stretchy super web, street safe prop weapons, fake blood, masks and ENORMOUS animated props.

'Mad About Horror' isn’t just the name of our business, we LOVE horror. If we’re not selling horror related goodies, you’ll find us either watching horror movies, wearing horror merch or dusting our collectibles!
We know how much care you collectors take of your toys and merchandise and we take the same care, if not more, to make sure that you receive your goods in the best possible condition. And sometimes, just sometimes, you might find something special from us in your box that you didn’t order, just to show we care!

What delivery services do you offer?

We offer standard shipping (3-5 business days) and expedited shipping (next business day). Delivery estimates are based on from day of despatch.
We use both Royal Mail and courier services depending on the size of the item you have ordered. If tracking is available on the service provided there will be a tracking number in your shipping confirmation email. If no tracking number appears then your item will have been shipped under Royal Mail 1st or 2nd class which does not have a tracking facility.

Do you offer Next Day delivery?

Yes we do. Select "expedited delivery" at the checkout. Please be aware that orders placed after 12pm will be despatched the next business day.

How do I pre order an item?

You will find all items that are available for pre order within the Pre Order section of our website. Simply place your order and we will manage everything from there. We will contact you when the items arrive into our warehouse to either request final payment or to let you know they are on their way.
Some larger value items have a deposit facility, although you still have the option to pay in full. Lower value items do not have a deposit facility.
If the item has the option to pay a deposit to secure an item you will see two options; Full Payment or Partial Payment.

If I pre order an item am I guaranteed to get it?

Yes! When you pre order an item you will be one of the FIRST to receive it.
We highly recommend pre ordering. Some popular releases sell out just through customers who have pre ordered.

How will I know if my pre ordered item has come into stock?

When your pre ordered item comes into stock, one of two things will happen.
If you have only paid your deposit, you will receive an email from us requesting the final balance. Once that is paid we will ship your item straight away.
If you have already paid in full, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email to let you know that your goodies are on the way!

What happens if a pre order item is delayed?

Delays on pre order items are unavoidable; this can be due to the manufacturer making improvements to items, or to delays in the licensing process, or interruptions to the manufacturing process.
If this is the case, we will email all customers who have pre ordered an item with a full update if we have it and we will update the listing on our website to keep everyone up to date.

Do you ship outside the UK?

We certainly do! We ship all over the globe. As we import a lot of stock from the States, customers from the USA may find items cheaper locally, but we’ll still ship if you need us too.
Please note due to potentially high shipping costs, bulkier items are not available for shipping outside of Europe.

Do I have to pay import duties and VAT on overseas orders?

We import a lot of stuff from the States, because, let’s face it, there’s so much cool stuff over there. Import duties and taxes are covered by us when we bring goods into the UK, which means you don’t have to! Hooray! Your shipping will be calculated for you at the checkout, so the price you see on our website is the price you pay.
If you are ordering from outside of Europe, please be aware that your country of residence may require you to pay import duties, please check locally.

Do I have to set up an account?

No, you don’t HAVE to set up an account, but we would recommend it. Setting up an account gives you full control of your orders. You’ll see all your previous orders along with the current status of each of your orders.

An item that I am interested in is out of stock, what do I do?

We are always restocking The Lair. If you see an item that you want but someone else got the last one before you, the listing will state that it is out of stock and you will see a button that say “notify me when the item is back in stock”. Click on that and you will receive an email when the item comes back in.
If you do not have an account with us, you will be prompted to set one up to receive emails from us.

How will I know if my order has been despatched?

When we have despatched your item you will receive an email with your shipping confirmation. If you do not see an email in your inbox please check your junk/spam folder. If there is still nothing there just drop us an email at [email protected] with your name, order number and question.

 

Do you have a physical store?

The Lair is purely a warehouse. We do not have a physical store. This is so we can keep our overheads down, but still keep a massive range of Horror goodies for all you groovy fans!

What are Killer Bargains?

Sometimes stock arrives into The Lair with dents or slight defects so we offer these at a “Killer Bargain” price.
If you are a collector who takes their figures out of the box, then you might not care if your box is slightly dented.
Some items might have a slight paint or moulding defect, so if you are looking to overhaul something, the “Killer Bargain” maybe just for you whilst saving a few quid!

What is the difference between a Killer Bargain and a Slasher Sale item?

"Killer Bargains" are items with slight defects offered at a reduced price, as detailed above.
"Slasher Sale" items are pristine, but offered at a sale price. Keep your eyes open for some great deals on products you may have missed!

What do I do if I want to cancel/return an item?

If you want to return an item we are sorry that this has not met with your expectation. Items can be returned to us within 14 days if they have been unopened and all tags etc are still in place. Pop the item in the post (with the same care it was sent to you please) with a note on the back of the packing slip explaining the reason for the return and we will refund your item once it has been received back into The Lair and has been checked by our warehouse manager.
